How To Install Roms plus Play Super Nintendo Games Onto Your Palm Pre Phone

Remember when games were simple? Back in the early 90's we had the Super Nintendo where games like Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart and Donkey Kong Country ran the show. The graphics were great for that time. Simple, but great. It was in my mind one of the best eras in video games ever. Now we have come to the era of 3D and HD. Not to knock them but they are impressive and I love them just as much as I did with the Super Nintendo as a kid.

What makes technology these days great is that you can do almost anything with just about everything. Take the cell phones of this generation. Phones like the iPhone, the Droid and Palm phones can download apps where you could play some cool games on the go. Let me narrow it down to just the Palm Pre, which I'm more familiar with. They have this Super Nintendo app where you could download all of your old favorite games from the past that had graced the classic system.

Downloading the app is easy as all you have to do is pay $2.99 for the app and its on. The search begins when you actually have to find the game roms to put the games in so you could play. But I can tell you that there are still sites where you could download roms, zip them and place them on the Super NES app so you could play. Here's how you have to do it step by step.

First go to Google and type up Cool Roms. The site will pop up and you go into the site. Go into their 'Super Nintendo' and select from your favorite titles. Click on download when you need to so you could save the 'zip' file onto your computer. Once you have done so, then go to the foldre where you've save the games to and one by one double click on each zip file. It will give you an option to save the Snes file. Make sure that you have 'Winzip' on your computer so you could unpack the file. If not, you could always Google 'Winzip' and you could go to it's main site and download it from there. Ok, back to the file. Once it's unzip, then use the USB port that came with the phone and connect it to the computer.

When your computer recognizes the phone, go into your apps folder and go to the Snes app folder, inside there should be a 'Rom' folder. Double click that and unload all the unzip files into that folder. Unhook your phone from the computer and restart your app. The games you've just put onto the app should be in the selection screen. It's like having your own portable Super Nintendo right in the palm of your hands. Get it?
